The Trojans hockey team plan to go into winter break with a plan—and by plan, we mean a loosely organized descent into chaos disguised as “training.” Every player has  committed to his own highly scientific, extremely questionable regimen.

 

In goal, Nick plans to train his reaction time by snatching cookies before they hit the plate, believing nothing prepares you for a deflection like Grandma’s surprise dessert tray. He also has to catch up on his performance reviews that his sister Cadence writes for him after each game. Nothing like an older sibling to keep you on your A game.  Donovan's goal is focused on mental toughness by shoveling snow in shorts “to feel alive,” while Carter plans to practice staying square to the puck by standing perfectly still in front of the fridge, blocking his dad from grabbing leftovers.

 

Up front, Blake will work on explosive speed by sprinting to answer the door for food deliveries, while Jazz will refine hand-eye coordination by demolishing holiday snack bowls with one hand while scrolling highlights with the other. Both insisted the extra holiday binging will be “bulking season,” despite no one asking.

 

On defense, Dillon will train grit by chopping firewood like it personally owed him money, claiming every log will be a forechecker. Tyson is focusing  on gap control by keeping relatives at a safe distance during awkward holiday conversations, using nothing but silent eye contact and a firm stance near the couch while ensuring his hockey flow looks sick in the family photos.

 

By the end of break, the Trojans will return heavier, louder, and maybe slightly slower -but spiritually stronger. The training may not be orthodox, but the vibes will be elite, the calories plentiful, and everyone agreed: nothing builds team chemistry like surviving winter break with your dignity mostly intact.
