The Trojans hit the ice this week with enough energy to power a small town — thanks in large part to the vets setting the bar nice and high ( Blake Kristof started the night with a snipe show) and the young guns stepping up and playing like they’ve been in the league since birth (or at least since last Tuesday).
The effort? Unquestionable. The hustle? Top-tier. The penalties? Well... Unfortunately, there was a spell in the second where our time in the box started to rival our time on the scoreboard, and let’s just say that being shorthanded in key moments doesn’t win you many favors with the hockey gods (or the coaching staff).
But hey—silver lining? Aiden Ross finally skated as fast as he talks. Scientists are still reviewing the footage to confirm if the ice caught fire, but one thing’s for sure - the scoreboard needed a smoke break after he lit it up. Kid was flying.
And speaking of young talent — Jaxon Olson decided it was time to let everyone know the rookies came with firepower. Snipes, hustle, and just the right amount of swagger. If this is what the future looks like, buckle up.
Bottom line: the Trojans are showing heart, heat, and just enough penalty minutes to keep the scorekeeper busy. Clean it up a bit, and this squad’s gonna be a nightmare for the rest of the league.
