After weeks of “rehab” (and possibly some strategic negotiations with medical professionals), Jayden Dillabough made his return in vintage scoring form. Rumor has it he offered everything from bribes of hockey tape to a month-long contract cleaning Canadian Tire showroom floors just to get cleared for game action—and boy, did it pay off. Dillabough found the back of the net like he’d never left, reminding everyone that the only thing sharper than his shot is his sense of humor.

 

Meanwhile, Nick Bertholet picked up his first career win, and the rookie handled it like a seasoned pro. When asked what fueled his performance, Bertholet credited his mom’s famous Yorkshire pudding: “Most people call them failed droopy dinner rolls, but they’re actually delicious and help keep me in the zone all night,” he said, proudly redefining both cuisine and focus in one interview.

 

Not to be outdone, Rylan Toupin served up three beautiful assists, channeling his inner Ray Bourque after finding out his dad skipped the home opener for Jets tickets. “Figured if I showed him a little Ray Bourque action in the assist department, he might just stop by for some Trojans hockey next time,” Toupin said with a grin.

 

All in all, it was a statement win for the Trojans—part grit, part gravy, and all good times. The boys are buzzing, the fans are fired up, and somewhere out there, a Canadian Tire owner is wondering why their floors look so spotless.
